As another Boston Comedy Festival comes to and end and I give thanks

I want to thank everybody involved for another fantastic Boston Comedy Festival. Here are some of the highlights:
The Barry Crimmins Toast and the Myq Kaplan roast were really a lot of fun for all the comedians and audience that attended. Stephen Wright was among the notable Ding Ho Alumni to attend the Crimmins toast. Myq’s roast was more vicious hilarity from the folks in Boston that he startwere there with him at the start.
I don’t know if anyone has a pic of Landry at the Cutler Majestic Theater. I can tell you the Cutler Majestic theater was packed with over 900 fans! Landry drew the first spot and still won the contest. Every performance was fantastic. While the Judges were deliberating, the Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Jonathan Katz. We performed about ten minutes to a very receptive crowd. The last performer was Bill Burr who was presented with the Comedian of the Year Award. Bill destroyed the almost capacity crowd at the theater with about fifteen minutes of the kind of quality original comedy that has made him one of the top comedians in the country.
Andy Kindler was fantastic at his two shows at the Charles Playhouse and the Davis Square Theater. The week ended in style with friend of the festival Judah Friedlander making a rare Boston appearance at the new Davis Square Theater. Judah Friedlander is , of course, a star of the Thursday night NBC hit comedy 30 Rock. Judah slayed the packed house at the Davis Square Theater. We also had an unofficial poker tournament and a great after party concluding a week of after parties! Thanks to all the managers, agents, club bookers ,cruise ship agents and television scouts. The Venues Dick Doherty’s Beantown Comedy Club,The Charles Playhouse, The Davis square Theater,The Burren and of course The Cutler Majestic Theater. Last but not least my sister Helen who did the lions share of the work to make this all possible.

Thank you all who made the Boston Comedy Festival possible

This year’s festival was a great success and I want to thank all those that made that happen.
I look forward to seeing you all again next year.
Jim
PS I’m sure I forgot some people if so thanks!
