The shows are hosted by Boston Comedy Festival founder Jim McCue, known as Boston’s King of Clean Crowd Work.
Jim has appeared on Comedy Central, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and AXS TV’s Live at Gotham. His Dry Bar Comedy special, Nothing Personal, has received millions of views online.
Because Jim combines stand-up with spontaneous audience interaction, every show is different. He also puts together lineups of professional comedians who know how to entertain a mixed crowd without making the person who booked the party nervous.
An Easy Option for Groups
Smaller groups may be able to reserve seats together at one of Smitty’s scheduled comedy shows. Larger organizations can ask about a private performance or an additional show, depending on the date, theater, and number of guests.
Nonprofits, schools, teams, and community organizations can also ask about using a comedy night as a fundraiser.
Holiday comedy opportunities may be available at participating Smitty’s Cinema locations in New Hampshire and Maine. Food and beverage options, group arrangements, and theater availability vary by location.
