7 Highlights from My Tracy Arm Fjord Cruise

I had the great fortune of performing on a cruise to Alaska that sailed through Tracy Arm Fjord, and it was an experience I won’t forget. The shows were a lot of fun, but the real star was the scenery. Here are seven moments that stood out.

1. The Sawyer Glaciers
Getting close to the North and South Sawyer Glaciers was unforgettable. We even saw chunks of ice calving off and crashing into the water. The sound alone was worth the trip.

2. Icebergs Everywhere
Big, small, and every shade of blue, the icebergs were works of art. Some even came with seals hitching a ride.

3. Towering Cliffs and Waterfalls
The sheer granite walls on either side of the fjord were massive, and waterfalls tumbled down like something out of a painting.

4. Wildlife
From eagles circling overhead to seals lounging on ice, there was always something to spot. A few passengers even claimed they saw whales in the distance.

5. The Colors of the Fjord
The water itself was a striking turquoise, and when the light hit the glaciers just right, the ice glowed a deep blue.

6. The Quiet
One of the most powerful moments was when the ship slowed near the glaciers. You could hear the ice shifting and the water lapping against the hull. It was almost spiritual.

7. Sharing It with Others
The best part for me was not just seeing it all, but talking about it later with the people who came to my shows. During the day we stood in awe of nature, and at night we laughed together. That balance made the trip special.

Tracy Arm Fjord is the kind of place that makes you stop and realize how small you are in the best way possible. If you ever get the chance to see it, take it.
